And for the new year (february 12) Turbo label boss Tiga have scheduled the release of new remixes by Riva Starr, Julio Bashmor, Paul Epworth and Tiga itself. On february 19 the self-titled debut album is released in UK.
Here you can listen the Tiga version of 'Reckless', another example of how is sound can be always fresh despite can be similar year by year.

R.I.P. Dj Mehdi
Sad news today from France. This afternoon twitter informed us that Dj Mehdi died after an accident at his home.Born in Paris in 1977 (same as me) Mehdi Favéris-Essadi started as hip-hop producer then he created his personal style mixing hip-hop with electro-house. Signing with Ed Banger in 2006 he had the opportunity to relese the album 'Lucky Boy'. Currently working with Riton in the duo project Carte Blanche, he collaborated with Daft Punk, Cassius and Chromeo.
This is the tune that made me know him, musically, some year ago: the Thomas Bangalter Edit of 'Signatune', part of the 'Lucky Girl EP', out on 2006.

Joris Voorn & Nic Fanciulli - Together
Back to 2002 when Kid Crème released the incredible 'Hypnotysing' with a sample from 'Do It to the Music' by Raw Silk. I really love that track.
Now Joris Voorn return to the same sample in his last production in collaboration with Nic Fanciulli. Filtered fueled tech-house for the summer. Good result as usual!

Probably my all times best house tune 'Music Sounds Better With You' returns in our ears thanks to USA producer Justin Martin. He worked around the original track keeping every singificant portion and mixing it wrapped in a dirty bassline. Old school sound fresh!
