Breach - Jack

Ormai suonatissimo ovunque 'Jack' si candida ad essere il pezzo dell'estate 2013. L'autore non è altri che Ben Westbeech, dj inglese con due album all'attivo e che forse ricordate per 'Something For The Weekend'.
Con il moniker Breach ha già prodotto in passato per etichette quali Pattern e Naked Naked. 'Jack' uscirà invece su Dirtybird, label USA di Claude VonStroke, ufficialmente a metà luglio. E 'Jack' suona assolutamente Dirtybird nel ritmo, mentre i vocals che si rifanno alla house di fine anni 80, vedi alla voce Finges Inc 'Can You Feel It'.

Dice Claude VonStroke: "I had dinner with Breach in London and he told me "Hey, I have a track that is really dirtybird. I would put it out but its really sounding right for you guys." I took this with a grain of salt but then I heard "Let's Get Hot" and I found out he was right. It's got the swagger and the sound. It makes girls grind their asses into boys crotches on the dancefloor. Perfect. Signed.

So I then asked him to make something even more sexual, thinking it would be ages before I got something back. 10 days later the A-side came back to me as a 2 minute clip while i was on the train to warehouse project in Manchester. I liked it so much that i edited it on the train to stretch it out to 5 minute. As expected, it slayed the room and the final version Breach has delivered is one of the best records of the year in my opinion. With the simple title of "Jack" you can see for yourself when you play it. This is the real deal."

Justin Martin & Ardalan - Mr Spock

Sull'etichetta Dirtybird di San Francisco nuova produzione di Justin Martin in coppia con il nuovo nome Ardalan, entrambi californiani.
In particolare Ardalan è un ventenne di San José, scoperto da Justin Martin a cui aveva mandato la demo di 'Mr Spock'. E' bastato un ascolto per capire la portata del pezzo e un po' di riarrangiamento per prepararla alla stampa.
Il titolo ricorda il famoso Dr Spock di Star Trek. A voi scoprire il legame musicale con la famosa serie tv.
Uscita prevista per la prossima settimana.

Style Of Eye - The Big Kazoo (Dirtybird)

Non avevo dato il giusto peso a questa produzione dello svedese Linus Eklow, aka Style Of Eye, ma 'The Big Kazoo' (una zeta e due o, non viceversa) ha una melodia che alla fine cattura.
Ricorda vagamente 'Heater', anche se il pezzo di Samim era più in sintonia con il clima estivo, mentre questa traccia ha un sound minimale ma comunque carico accompagnato da un sempre più irresistibile Kazoo.
Strasuonato da Sven Vath, proprio sentendolo al Mayday mi ha convinto.
